September 2008 opende Van Velze’s voor de eerste keer haar deuren. De zaak wordt gerund door chocolatier en patissier Robbert van Velze en zijn partner, de Ierse Deborah Kilroy. Zeven jaar geleden ontmoetten zij elkaar in Australië. Robbert en Deborah delen hun visie over het aanbieden van luxe producten als chocola en taart. Op een manier waarmee alleen verantwoordelijke ingrediënten worden gebruikt
Hey guys! Heike just came back from her chocolate class there, and she and her friends LOVED it ~ and they brought home some sample bonbons (with the Christmas speculaas stuff inside) and they are A-MA-ZING. One of the best chocolates I have ever had. I will try to come by and get some more of those before the holidays. See you both soon!
